Wye Galaxy and Cheerleading has been honoured as the Community Club of the Year (over 250 members) at the British Gymnastics Awards. This accolade reflects the club’s incredible journey over the past 15 years, during which it has demonstrated remarkable progress in development, growth, and positive community impact. Another standout success story is Valleys Gymnastics Academy (VGA), which has received the Safe Sport Award in recognition of its outstanding commitment to safeguarding. VGA has long been a champion of child welfare and athlete protection, embedding a robust safeguarding culture into every aspect of its operation. The club places the safety and wellbeing of its members at the heart of its ethos, ensuring that all children and young people feel supported, valued, and empowered to participate. VGA’s proactive approach includes strong safeguarding policies, continuous staff training, and an open, inclusive environment where every voice is heard. This award is a testament to the club’s leadership in setting the benchmark for safety in gymnastics and ensuring that sport remains a positive and nurturing experience for all participants.
