Kyarna helps and liaises with clubs, local authorities, leisure and other partners to sustain and grow the gymnastics community in South Central Wales.

Gymnastics history: Kyarna’s journey in gymnasts started in 2012 when she completed her Sports Leaders Award. She volunteered for the next four years within sports facilities across Blaenau Gwent and assisting with gymnastics coaching for all ages.
Kyarna joined Welsh Gymnastics in 2018, initially as a Performance Support Officer working with the performance staff and national coaches to support the performance pathway.
It was a role she fulfilled for four years before taking up her current role as South Central Development Officer at the beginning of August 2022. In this role Kyarna helps to support existing clubs and develop participation opportunities within the South Central Area, including Bridgend, Caerphilly, Vale of Glamorgan, RCT and Merthyr Tydfil.
More about Kyarna: She completed The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award as well as earning her Millennium Volunteers Awards up to MV200 – which is the Award of Excellence and recognises young people for 200 hours of commitment. MV200 is the highest accolade they can receive for their hourly commitment.
