GYMNASTICS BACKGROUND
First Started: Started in rhythmic aged 12 at Llanelli Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy
Current Club: Llanelli RGA
Highlights. . . Competed for Great Britain at the Rhythmic World Championships in 2018 and the Rhythmic European Championships in 2021. British Championships all-around silver medallist in 2016 and 2017 and then all-around British bronze medallist in 2019. Welsh senior all-around champion 2021 and 2022.
Birmingham 2022: Made history by becoming the first gymnast to win hoop gold for Team Wales at the Commonwealth Games. Birmingham was Gemma’s second Commonwealth Games having also competed at Gold Coast 2018.
