Abigail Godsall

Abbie joined the team at Welsh Gymnastics in September 2023 as the Competition Coordinator for the Olympic Disciplines.

In her own words, Abbie said: “I am thrilled to be a part of the events team and contribute to the gymnasts’ experiences within the sport. My aim in this role is to provide a positive gymnastics experience for all participants and that everyone leaves each competition with a smile on their face.”

Abbie started her gymnastics journey in artistic gymnastics when she was younger – and this is something she has carried into adulthood, competing in the Adult British Championships each year.

She loves the atmosphere at these competitions and is something she aims to bring to competitions in Wales. Additionally, Abbie coaches artistic gymnastics to children of all abilities and loves seeing them learn new skills and enjoy their sessions.

Aside from gymnastics, Abbie has an undergraduate degree in Sport Performance Analysis and a Masters in Sport Broadcast.
