Welsh Gymnastics are pleased to share details of how we are helping our member clubs tackle the rising cost of energy, in to continue to thrive and be able to deliver gymnastics.

In response to our clubs raising concerns about the spiralling costs of their utility bills, WG have commissioned 2buy2 – a Wales-based procurement consultancy, providing strategic procurement advice and education that delivers savings and supplier protection.

They will help determine whether our clubs are getting the best value for money from their electricity, gas and water provider, have the right contract lengths and, through joining forces, we will use the power of the collective to keep utility costs for gymnastics facilities in Wales as low as possible.

Welsh Gymnastics CEO Victoria Ward said: “We are particularly conscious having emerged from the Covid-19 pandemic and all the difficulties that presented, and into the energy crisis we currently face – that we need our facilities remaining open to ensure healthy activity for all.

“We are fully committed to clubs and the sport which is why we have we ensured clubs will now receive this extra benefit as part of their annual membership at no extra charge.

“This is the first step in our from commitment to supporting our member clubs through a tough time so that, most importantly, they exist to provide gymnastics and keep children active for many years to come.” For more information or if your club would like to discuss this further, please contact your Welsh Gymnastics club development officer or email development@welshgymnastics.org
