The menstrual cycle is known to affect female athletes and participants, negatively impacting training, performance, and participation in sport. However, this doesn’t have to be the case; with the correct support, developed through awareness and understanding embedded into coaching and individual practice, optimal performance can still be achieved throughout the menstrual cycle.
