Level 3 Technical Module 1 Women’s Artistic

Women’s Artistic Level 3 Technical Module 1. This is one of four level 3 modules within women’s artistic gymnastics and can be taken in any order. This module enables coaches to advanced skills and apparatus techniques in women’s artistic gymnastics.

Content:

The course covers technical aspects of skills from the syllabus, how to support and progress these skills, and physical preparation for participants. Module 1 covers the following:

• Biomechanics
• Moving and Rotating
• Understanding Physical Preparation
• Prevention of Injuries
• Analysing Skills
• Vault

Assessment:

• Assessments are arranged by the candidate directly with the assessor.
• Candidates have 2 years from attendance to complete their assessment.

Prerequisites:

• You must hold a Level 2 in Women’s Artistic Gymnastics.

Notes:

• Coaches who are wanting to complete the full Level 3 qualification, must complete all modules in the appropriate discipline and the generic theory course.
